"Worker's Compensation - Mitigating Risk" with Michael Burg, Senior Vice President at Arthur J. Gallaher

    October 8, 2017  - Dodge County SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) hosted their monthly meeting. The presenter for the meeting was Michael Burg, Senior Vice President at Arthur J. Gallaher. Michael's presentation "Worker's Compensation-Mitigating Risk" offered insight on effective ways for employers to reduce workers compensation costs, i.e.  1) risk control, 2) claim management, and 3) risk transfer/insurance program design, as well as “emerging strategies" for the future.


    Michael joined Arthur J. Gallagher in 2005 after graduating from the Risk Management and Insurance program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He focuses on serving clients with complex risk management and insurance needs with a particular focus on clients who retain risk through deductibles, self-insurance, and captive insurance solutions. Michael was awarded the Power Broker award by Risk and Insurance in 2015 based upon his work on behalf of a large foundry client.


    Dodge County SHRM is composed of Human Resource Personnel, Business Owners as well as Operations Managers.  Their  mission is to provide educational, leadership development, professional growth and networking opportunities for chapter members. To promote excellence and professionalism in the human resource management field.
